  6. Real name Brock Van Wey, his work is both harnessing and expansive, bringing the listener close while scoping out big natural landscapes (check that one on the front cover). Heartless is the twenty-ninth record in this project, if you can believe it, and is purposed to sound a little huger in its layers.
  7. Brock Van Wey, who has classical training, is a little more like a composer using the tones, tools and textures of the ambient/electronic genre to create compositions as beautiful and sophisticated as any. His music may not be what you expect, but it’s highly prized by those who cherish the genre and recognize Brock Van Wey’s unique voice.
  8. I follow the dark ambient, drone, and power electronics genres quite closely, and count projects like Bad Sector, Troum, Maeror Tri, NTT, and Daniel Menche among my favorites. I have never been a fan of more beat-oriented experimental music, and so it has been with great surprise that I've grown so enamored with Brock Van Wey's output/5(2).
